| 职位描述: | ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Develop manufacturing and design verification test plans for optical transmitters, receivers and transceivers with various modulation formats and transmission data rates. Analyze test plans generated by customers and by other Jabil groups from the test coverage, test time and cost efficiency stand point. Evaluate new test methods and strategies to help customers improve efficiency, quality and reduce cost. 2.Develop test equipment solutions for optical transmitters/ receivers/ transceivers using both off-the-shelf equipment and custom designed hardware (test fixtures, test PCBAs). Work closely with test equipment vendors as well as with test hardware developers on defining, designing, developing and optimizing test hardware solutions. 3.Develop test software solutions for optical transmitters/ receivers/ transceivers by either defining test software requirements for the test software developers or by performing hands-on coding. 4.Develop test plans and test solutions for other fiber-optic products used in telecommunication industry (e.g. line/client cards). 5.Perform hands-on design verification testing of product prototypes in R&D labs. Develop test automation scripts for design verification activities. Leverage that experience for manufacturing test solution development and implementation. 6.Provide support to Jabil's global manufacturing test engineering teams by working closely with them on manufacturing test solution development, optimization, implementation and support. Travel globally to Jabil's and customer's sites to support these activities. 7.Generate the following types of documentation: test plans, test specifications, test hardware requirements and descriptions, test equipment lists, test procedures, debug/troubleshooting manuals, test capability presentations, etc. 8.Train and mentor other test engineers, test/diagnostic technicians and test operators. 9.Conduct Root Cause Analysis /troubleshooting activities on NPI and volume product in test. Perform data analysis to find patterns and issues with product test performance. 10.Work closely with Business Development teams on educating customers about Jabil's test capabilities and help Business Development secure new business opportunities. Assist in developing budgets, and quoting of projects to Business Unit Managers. 11.Work with extended teams to develop project schedules and execute projects to completion MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Manager Test Engineering 2.Provides Team Leadership by mentoring others and guiding best practices throughout the organization JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS 1.Experience with test and design of optical transmitters, receivers and transceivers with various modulation formats and transmission data rates. 2.Experience with test and design of coherent optical transmitters/ receivers/ transceiver and experience with coherent optical technology in general (e.g. coherent DSP SW/FW) is a big asset. 3.Experience with test and design of the following pluggable transceivers is an asset: SFP/SFP+, XFP, QSFP+/QSFP28, CFP/CFP2/CFP4 4.Experience with a broad range of standard test equipment, which is used for test and characterization of fiber-optic and RF products: bit error rate testers, high speed scopes (e.g. digital communication analyzers), optical power-meters, variable attenuators, optical amplifiers, optical spectrum analyzers, optical and RF switches, wavelength meters, RF power-meters, vector network analyzers and LCAs, etc. 5.Excellent understanding of fundamental optical concepts such as optical power, optical power loss/gain, wavelength, optical spectrum, polarization, polarization dependent loss, back-reflection, chromatic dispersion, polarization mode dispersion, optical to signal noise ratio, etc. 6.Excellent understanding of key test and measurement concepts utilized in optical/RF characterization of transmitters, receivers and transceivers: bit error rate, eye diagram characterization, jitter, PRBS and other test patterns, S-parameters, group delay, skew, 'constellation' diagrams for coherent receivers, etc. 7.Experience with developing test automation software/scripts using the following languages: Python, Matlab, Test Stand, LabVIEW, C/C++, C#, Lua. Experience with other programming languages is an asset as well. 8.Understanding of Layer 2 protocols (SONET, Ethernet, etc.) is a plus. 9.Experience with support of manufacturing sites, where optical products are built and tested, is an asset. Good understanding of the end-to-end manufacturing test strategies for the optical products (pre-FT, FT, ST, ESS) is also an asset. Good understanding of the differences between manufacturing test and design verification test is a valuable skill as well. 10.Some experience with functional testing of PCBAs is desirable. Experience with PCBA design is an asset. Basic understanding of structural/ manufacturing defects, which are typically observed on the PCBAs, is a plus. 11.Experience in developing cost effective test stations for volume manufacturing. 12.Strong Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting skills. 13.Fluent in use of standard Microsoft Office tools. 14.Works well within a team environment – a true team player! 15.Self-starter, highly motivated and with strong desire of accountability and ownership. 16.Ability to develop project schedules, budgets and track projects to completion. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 1.Electrical Engineering Degree (MSc. Preferred) or equivalent 2.Past experience of 5+ years in photonics/optical test engineering in a telecommunication environment is a must. 3.10+ years of experience in telecommunications in general (preferably in a design / test role) 4.Willingness to travel world-wide up to 30% of the time. |
